Description: We will explore the chakras, the major Ayurvedic energy centers of the body. Chakras are located at points along the spinal cord. They are associated with the five elements and each of the seven major chakras connect with our physical organs and systems, as well as our emotions. Dr Lad will discuss Ayurvedic diagnosis and healing associated with these points that fall along the midline of the body.
Every chakra is a reservoir of consciousness. There is an increased concentration of neuropeptides at the different levels of the chakras. There are chakras in the physical, mental and astral bodies. As long as the chakra is open, the person experiences health in the organ related to that chakra. When a chakra is blocked, the person has repeated pain in the associated organ. Explore how to unblock the chakras and make the energy move smoothly so they can unfold inner bliss. Lad will also share different chakra meditations. Join him on this journey through the chakras as a bridge between body, mind and spirit.
